About NeocoreGames
Based in Budapest, NeocoreGames both develops and publishes its own titles, which keeps a recognisable style across the range: isometric combat, heavy atmosphere and deep character progression. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing brought gothic-horror hack and slash with a sharp sense of humour, while Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr applied that loot-heavy design to the grim far future of the 41st millennium.
With King Arthur: Knight's Tale and King Arthur: Legion IX the studio moved towards tactical, turn-based party combat set in a dark retelling of Arthurian myth. Together these lines cover much of what players look for in RPG and action titles, from solo campaigns to co-op runs.
NeocoreGames games in the catalogue
Releases here span 2013 to 2024 and lean towards RPG, action, adventure and indie hack and slash, with co-op support in parts of the range. Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr appears for Steam as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. King Arthur: Knight's Tale covers Steam and Xbox Series X|S, and King Arthur: Legion IX is listed for Steam. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing titles, including the second game and the Final Cut edition, are largely Steam keys, with a trilogy collection for Xbox One and a complete pack for GOG.com.
A large part of the range is add-on content rather than base games: class packs such as Sororitas and Hierophant for Inquisitor - Martyr, the Pict Skirmish Pack for King Arthur: Knight's Tale, and bundled anthology and complete packs for Van Helsing. Add-ons need the matching base game on the same account before they can be used.
How buying works
Each game activates on the platform its listing names: Steam keys are redeemed in the Steam client or website, and Xbox codes are redeemed through the Microsoft Store or console. Step-by-step help is available for activating a Steam key and for redeeming an Xbox code.
Most items in this range are keys. King Arthur: Knight's Tale is also available as an account, which arrives with the game already on it and is signed into rather than redeemed. Games are sold per region, and a key has to match the region of the account it is being activated on, so it is worth checking how region locking works before ordering.
Common questions
- Which platform do these games activate on?
- It depends on the title. Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr is available for Steam and for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, King Arthur: Knight's Tale for Steam and Xbox Series X|S, and the Van Helsing games mainly for Steam, with one pack for GOG.com.
- Will a key work in another country?
- Only if the regions match. Each key is sold for a particular region and must be redeemed on an account set to that same region, otherwise activation will be refused.
- What is the difference between a key and an account?
- A key is a code you redeem on your own Steam or Xbox account. An account comes with the game already on it, so you sign in instead of redeeming anything.
- Do the DLC and class packs need the base game?
- Yes. Expansions such as the Sororitas and Hierophant classes or the Pict Skirmish Pack require the matching base game on the same account and platform.
- When do I receive my key or account details?
- The key or account details are delivered to your order once payment completes.
