2. Make sure you are on the Amazon storefront that matches the card's country.
3. Go to the "Redeem Gift Cards" section of your account.
4. Enter the gift card code exactly as supplied.
5. Confirm the redemption and check that the balance appears on your account.

Regions and where the card works

Amazon gift cards are tied to a country storefront. A card issued for one country adds balance in that country's currency and can only be used on that Amazon site, so the region you choose should match the storefront the recipient actually shops on rather than where they happen to live.

Check the country marked on the card before buying, and pick the one that matches the account. Cards listed as Global are the exception and are not bound to a single storefront.
