Can I use a Battle.net gift card on an account in another country?

No. Balance is region and currency specific, so the code must match the region of the Battle.net account. A card for one country will be rejected on an account set up elsewhere.

How do I receive the code?

The code is delivered to your order once payment completes, and you then redeem it on your Battle.net account.

What happens to leftover balance?

Any remaining funds stay in the Battle.net Balance on the account and can be put towards a later purchase. Balance is not transferable between accounts.

What can the balance be spent on?

It can be used towards games, expansions, in-game currency and other items sold through the Battle.net shop for supported Blizzard titles.

Is a prepaid game time card the same as a gift card?

No. Game time cards add a set period of World of Warcraft subscription time, while a gift card adds funds to the account balance that can be spent more freely.

Battle.net gift cards

A Battle.net gift card adds funds to the Battle.net Balance on a Blizzard account. That balance can go towards games and expansions, in-game currency and other purchases across the Blizzard catalogue.

Alongside balance cards, prepaid game time for World of Warcraft and Diablo IV Platinum vouchers are listed, so the code can be matched to what the player actually wants.

About Battle.net gift cards

Battle.net is Blizzard's launcher and store, home to World of Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, Hearthstone and StarCraft. Balance loaded from a gift card sits in the account wallet and is spent at checkout in the Battle.net shop, which makes it a straightforward option for players who would rather not attach a card to the account, and a simple gift for someone who already plays.

The listings run from small top-ups to larger amounts in several currencies, with sixty day prepaid game time cards for World of Warcraft and Platinum vouchers for Diablo IV sitting alongside them. Similar codes for other publishers and storefronts sit in the wider prepaid and gift card range.

How to redeem a Battle.net gift card

Balance cards are redeemed on the Battle.net account management pages rather than inside a game client.

Go to battle.net/balance.
Log in to your Battle.net account.
Enter the code into the code redemption box.
Wait for the confirmation message to appear.
Check the balance in the top right of your account management screen to confirm the funds were added.

Regions and where the card works

Battle.net balance is tied to the currency and region of the account it is added to, so a card issued for one country will not load onto an account set to another. Choose the card that matches the country and currency the recipient's Battle.net account uses, and check that before buying.

Where a card is marked as Global it is not tied to a single country. Game time cards are also split by region, so a card marked for one service region belongs with an account in that region.

Regions currently listed for Battle.net: United States, Europe, Canada, Global, Singapore, Brazil, United Kingdom, Mexico, Switzerland, Poland. Use the region filter beside the results to see the cards for one country.
