Will an EA App gift card work on an account from another country?

No. Each card is tied to the country store and currency it was issued for, apart from cards marked Global. Check the account's registered country before buying.

How do I receive the code?

The code is delivered to your order once payment completes.

What happens to leftover balance?

Unspent credit stays in your EA Wallet and can be put towards a later purchase. You can add further cards to the same wallet.

Can I buy EA Play with the credit?

Yes. Wallet credit can be spent on anything the EA store sells for your account, including EA Play membership, games and add-on content.

My code is not accepted, what should I check?

Codes are case-sensitive, so enter every character exactly as displayed. Also confirm you are signed in to an account registered in the card's country.

EA App gift cards

An EA App gift card adds credit to your EA Wallet, the balance used across the EA store for full games, expansions, in-game currency and add-on content.

Cash cards and EA Play gift cards are listed for several country stores, so the code matches the account the recipient plays on.

About EA App gift cards

EA is the publisher behind series such as FIFA, Battlefield, The Sims, Apex Legends and Need for Speed, and the EA App is where those titles are bought, installed and launched on PC. Credit loaded from an EA App gift card sits in your EA Wallet and can be spent on anything the store sells, including EA Play membership.

The card suits players who prefer to pay without a bank card on file, and anyone buying a present for a PC gamer. Face values run from smaller top-ups to larger amounts in euros, pounds, dollars and Australian dollars, alongside a short EA Play Pro membership option. Other brands are grouped in the prepaid and gift card range.

How to redeem an EA App gift card

Codes are case-sensitive and should be entered exactly as they appear. Some cards direct you to the EA redemption page, others to the Origin checkout redemption page; use whichever address came with your card.

Sign in to your EA account, or create one if you do not have an account yet.
Open the redemption page supplied with your card, either ea.com/redeem or checkout.origin.com.
Select the option to redeem a code or retail card.
Type the code exactly as shown, minding upper and lower case, then confirm.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete activation.
Check the balance under your account's payment section, where the EA Wallet total is shown.

Regions and account matching

EA cash cards and gift cards are tied to a currency and a country store. A card issued in euros will load a wallet set to euros, and a card for the United States store will not apply to an account registered elsewhere. Choose the card that matches the country and currency on the recipient's EA account rather than where the order is placed.

Where a card is marked Global, it is not limited to one country store. Every other card should be bought for the region the player shops in.

Regions currently listed for EA App: Europe, United Kingdom, United States, Italy, France, Global, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Austria and 2 more. Use the region filter beside the results to see the cards for one country.
