A gift card turns into store credit that can be spent across that catalogue, which makes it a straightforward present for someone who already orders from eMAG.

Cards are issued in the currency of the store they belong to, in Romanian lei, Hungarian forint and Bulgarian lev, ranging from small amounts for a single purchase to larger values for bigger orders. Other retailer and service codes sit alongside them in the prepaid gift card range.

How to redeem an eMAG gift card

The exact wording differs slightly between the eMAG country stores, but the process is the same: sign in, find the gift card entry, and enter the code printed on the card.

1. Open the eMAG site for the country the card was issued for, such as emag.hu or emag.bg.
2. Log in to your eMAG account, or create one if you do not have an account yet.
3. In the payment and gift certificate section, choose to apply a gift certificate to your account.
4. Enter the claim code, or the card number and PIN where both are supplied.
5. Confirm to apply the credit to your account.
6. Alternatively, at checkout select gift card as the payment method and enter the card number and PIN.

Regions and which card to buy

eMAG operates separate country stores, and a gift card belongs to the store it was issued for. A card for one country will not apply to an account on another eMAG site, so it should match the store the recipient actually orders from.

Check which eMAG store the recipient uses before choosing, since the currency and the site where the code is entered follow the region of the card.
