Will a card bought for one country work on an account in another?

Epic Games gift cards are tied to the country and currency they were issued for. If the account is registered elsewhere, the code may be refused, so buy the card for the country the player uses.

What happens to a leftover balance?

Redeemed V-Bucks stay on the Epic Games account until they are spent. There is no need to use the whole balance in one purchase.

How do I receive the code?

The PIN code is delivered to your order once payment completes, ready to be redeemed to an Epic Games account.

Can V-Bucks be used on any device?

V-Bucks are added to the Epic Games account, and during redemption you pick the device you want to use them on. If the device you want is missing, check that you are signed in to the correct Epic Games account.

Can I use the card for games rather than V-Bucks?

These cards convert into V-Bucks for use in Fortnite's in-game shop, including the Battle Pass and cosmetic items.

Epic Games gift cards

An Epic Games gift card is a prepaid code that adds V-Bucks to an Epic Games account. V-Bucks are the in-game currency used in Fortnite, where they go towards outfits, emotes, the Battle Pass and other items from the in-game shop.

About Epic Games gift cards

Epic Games is the studio behind Fortnite and the operator of the Epic Games account used to play it. A gift card carries a PIN code that converts into V-Bucks once redeemed, so the balance sits with the account rather than with a single console or handset. That makes it a straightforward option for players who would rather not attach a payment method, and a common present for Fortnite players.

Face values run from small top-ups to larger amounts, in currencies including dirhams, riyals, euros, francs, Swedish and Norwegian kronor, pounds, dollars and pesos. Similar codes for other brands sit alongside the wider prepaid and gift card range.

How to redeem an Epic Games gift card

Redemption happens through the Epic Games redemption page while signed in to the account that should receive the V-Bucks.

Log in to your Epic Games account.
Open the Epic Games code redemption page.
Select Get Started to begin the redemption process.
Enter your PIN code and select Next.
Choose the device you want to use your V-Bucks on, then select Next.
Check that the Epic account, device and new balance are correct, then select Confirm.
Open Fortnite to spend the V-Bucks.

Regions and which card to buy

Epic Games gift cards are issued for a particular country and its currency, and a code is intended for an account set up for that country. Choose the card that matches the country the recipient plays and pays in, so the currency and the redemption go through without trouble.

Where a Global card is listed, it is not tied to a single country. Regional cards, including the wider Europe editions, should be matched to the account country instead.

Regions currently listed for Epic Games: France, Mexico, Germany, United States, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Europe, United Arab Emirates, Global, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom. Use the region filter beside the results to see the cards for one country.
