Can I use a German card in the Austrian shop, or the other way round?

No. Each code is tied to the country store it was issued for and is not interchangeable. Choose the card that matches the shop the recipient orders from.

What happens to any balance I do not spend?

Any value left after an order normally stays on the code for a later purchase, provided the code is still valid. Your remaining balance is shown when the code is applied at checkout.

How do I receive the code?

The code is delivered to your order once payment completes, and you can then pass it on or use it yourself.

Can I combine a gift card with another payment method?

Yes, if the basket costs more than the voucher value you pay the difference with your normal payment method at checkout.

Can the card be used in physical stores?

These codes are intended for redemption in the online shop at ernstings-family.de. Treat them as online vouchers rather than in store cards.

About Ernsting's Family.de gift cards

Ernsting's Family is a German fashion chain known for everyday clothing at family sizes, from babywear and children's ranges through to womenswear, menswear, underwear, nightwear and accessories, plus household and seasonal items. The online shop carries the same kind of assortment, and a gift card lets the recipient choose for themselves rather than guessing a size.

The card suits parents restocking children's basics, anyone buying for a household with several sizes to cover, and gift givers who want something flexible. Values run in euros from small amounts suitable for a single item up to larger sums that cover a full basket, and the same idea applies across other prepaid gift cards for retail brands.

How to redeem an Ernsting's Family.de gift card

Open ernstings-family.de in your browser.
Sign in to your account, or continue as a guest.
Add the items you want to your basket.
Go to the checkout and look for the gift card or voucher field.
Enter the code exactly as it was supplied, with no extra spaces.
Confirm the code and check the updated order total before you pay.

Regions and where the card works

Ernsting's Family.de gift cards are issued for a specific country store, so a German code belongs to the German shop and an Austrian code to the Austrian shop. Buy the card for the country the recipient actually orders from, since a code meant for another country store will usually be rejected at checkout.

If you are unsure, ask which shop and delivery address they use rather than which country they live in, as that is what decides the right card.
