Can I use a HotelsGift card in a different country?

The hotels themselves are worldwide, but the card itself is issued for a specific country and currency. Buy the edition that matches where the recipient will be booking from.

What if the hotel costs more than the card value?

The card is applied to the cost of the booking at the payment page, and any remaining difference is paid with your own payment method. How any unused balance is handled is set by HotelsGift's own terms.

How do I receive the code?

The code is delivered to your order once payment completes, and it can then be entered on the HotelsGift payment page when making a booking.

Does the recipient have to pick a hotel in advance?

No. The card is not tied to one property, so the holder chooses the hotel, the destination and the dates when they redeem it.

Can the card be used for several bookings?

The code is entered against a booking at the payment stage, so plan to use it for the stay being reserved. Any conditions on partial use come from HotelsGift's terms.

About HotelsGift

HotelsGift is a hotel booking voucher: rather than tying the holder to one chain or one city, it acts as credit towards a reservation made through the HotelsGift site. That makes it a straightforward present for a weekend away, a city break, a wedding gift or a thank you, where the giver wants to cover part of the accommodation without picking the hotel.

Cards are issued for individual countries and currencies, with amounts running from small contributions towards a night to larger sums that cover more of a stay. It sits alongside other travel and lifestyle prepaid gift cards as a gift that keeps the choice of destination open.

How to redeem a HotelsGift gift card

Redemption happens during the booking itself, so the code is only needed once the hotel and dates have been chosen.

Go to hotelgift.com.
Select the Redeem option.
Choose a stay from the 110,000 hotels available.
Enter your HotelsGift gift card code on the payment page.
Complete the booking and print out your confirmation.

Regions and which card to buy

HotelsGift cards are issued per country and in the currency of that country, and each edition is intended for the market it was issued for. Choose the card that matches the country the recipient books from, so the currency on the card lines up with the currency they are charged in.

A card bought for the wrong country may not apply cleanly to a booking, and currency cannot be converted between editions, so check the country before buying rather than after the code has been revealed.

Regions currently listed for HotelsGift: Greece, Canada, United States, Singapore. Use the region filter beside the results to see the cards for one country.
