IMVU game cards
An IMVU game card loads credits into an IMVU account, the currency used across the 3D avatar social world for clothing, hairstyles, furniture, room scenes and other virtual goods made by the community.
Each card is tied to a country version of the IMVU store, and the code is applied to the account once it is entered on the prepaid card page.

About IMVU game cards
IMVU is a social platform built around customisable avatars, chat rooms and a vast user made catalogue. Credits are what members spend there, whether they are dressing an avatar, decorating a room, buying animations or gifting items to friends. A game card is a straightforward way to add those credits without linking a payment method to the account.
The cards suit regular members topping up a spending balance and anyone buying for someone else who plays. Face values run from small top-ups to larger amounts, in Australian, New Zealand, US, Canadian and Brazilian dollars as well as euros. They sit alongside other prepaid codes for digital services.
How to redeem an IMVU game card
Redemption happens on the IMVU site, on the prepaid card page, after signing in to the account you want the credits on. A full walkthrough with screenshots is in the help-centre guide.
- Go to imvu.com and create an account or log in to an existing one.
- Make sure you are signed in to the account that should receive the credits.
- Open imvu.com/prepaidcard.
- Enter the card code exactly as supplied.
- Confirm the entry and check that the credit balance on the account has updated.
Regions and which card to choose
IMVU game cards are issued per country and carry a currency to match, so a card is intended for an account registered in that country. Pick the card for the country the recipient uses IMVU from, as codes issued for one region may not be accepted elsewhere.
If you are buying as a gift, confirm the country on the account first rather than going by where you are yourself.

Common questions
- Can I use an IMVU game card from another country?
- Cards are issued for a specific country and currency and are meant for accounts registered there. A code from a different region may be rejected when you try to apply it.
- What happens to credits I do not spend?
- Credits stay on the IMVU account as a balance and can be used on later purchases. They are not converted back to money.
- How do I receive the code?
- The code is delivered to your order once payment completes, and you enter it on the IMVU prepaid card page.
- Do I need an existing IMVU account?
- You need an account to apply the code, but you can create one for free before redeeming.
- Can I split one card across two accounts?
- No. A code is applied in full to the account you are signed in to when you redeem it.
