About JCPenney gift cards

JCPenney sells apparel, footwear, jewellery, beauty, and goods for the home under one roof, with the same ranges available on its website. A gift card suits shoppers stocking up on wardrobe basics or household items, and works equally well as a present when you are not sure which department someone will head for.

Face values run from small amounts suitable for a token gift up to larger sums for a bigger shop. The card is redeemable for merchandise or services, though not for buying further gift cards, and it cannot be used to pay a credit card account. If you buy for several people at once, other prepaid gift cards cover different chains and services.

How to redeem a JCPenney gift card

Online orders accept up to two codes per purchase. To use three or more cards together, take them to a JCPenney store instead. The card carries no value until it has been activated.

Go to jcp.com or visit a JCPenney store in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
Choose the merchandise or services you want.
Proceed to the checkout.
Enter your gift card code in the payment section, or hand the card details to the cashier in store.
Pay any remaining balance with another payment method if the order costs more than the card.
Check the remaining balance at jcp.com or by calling the customer service number printed with the card terms.

Region and where the card works

JCPenney gift cards are tied to the United States market. They are redeemable at JCPenney stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico and on the US website, so buy one for someone who shops with the US store rather than for an account or address in another country.

The card is not accepted at JCPenney outlet stores. Match the region of the card to the country the recipient shops in before ordering.
