Can I use a Kmart gift card outside Australia?

No. These cards are issued for Australia and are redeemed in Australian Kmart stores, in Australian dollars.

How do I receive the code?

The gift card details are delivered to your order once payment completes, so you can show the barcode on your phone or print it.

What happens to any leftover balance?

If the purchase costs less than the card value, the remaining balance stays on the gift card and can be used on a later visit. If the purchase costs more, pay the difference by another method.

Can I use more than one Kmart gift card in a single purchase?

Each card is scanned as a voucher tender with its own PIN, so cards are normally applied one after another at the register. Ask the team member serving you to apply each one.

Do I need a plastic card?

No. The barcode can be scanned straight from your smartphone screen, or you can print the gift card and present the printed version.

Kmart gift cards

A Kmart gift card is a prepaid voucher for Kmart, the Australian discount department store chain. It is presented at the register as a voucher tender and put towards whatever the shopper is buying that day.

Kmart ranges cover clothing for the family, homewares and storage, kitchen goods, bedding, toys, sporting gear, electronics and everyday essentials, so the card suits a broad household list rather than a single department.

About Kmart gift cards

Kmart stores stock a wide mix of low cost home and family goods, from furniture and decor to kids' clothes, stationery and seasonal items. A Kmart gift card carries a set Australian dollar value that is applied at the checkout, which makes it a practical present for anyone setting up a home, restocking a wardrobe or shopping for children.

Values are given in Australian dollars and run from small amounts suited to a token gift up to larger amounts for a bigger shop. Kmart cards sit alongside other prepaid gift cards for retail and everyday spending.

How to redeem a Kmart gift card

The card is redeemed in person at a Kmart store. Keep the barcode and the four digit PIN to hand, either on a phone screen or on a printout.

Visit any Kmart store with your goods.
Ask the team member to select 'Voucher' as the tender type.
Have the payment amount entered at the register.
Show the barcode on your gift card so it can be scanned from your phone with the handheld scanner.
Enter the four digit PIN when prompted.
Alternatively, print the gift card and present the printed copy to be scanned.

Region and where the card works

Kmart gift cards are issued for Australia and are spent in Kmart stores there, in Australian dollars. They are tied to that market, so a card bought for one country will not transfer to a retailer of a similar name elsewhere.

Buy the card for the country where the recipient actually shops. If they are not in Australia, a Kmart gift card will be of no use to them.
