About Macy's gift cards

Macy's is one of the best known department store names in the United States, with stores across the country, the off-price Macy's Backstage format and a full online store. A Macy's gift card can be spent on the same mix of fashion, footwear, cosmetics, jewellery, furniture and household goods, as well as in-store services.

Codes are listed in United States dollars, from small top-up amounts up to larger gift-sized values, so you can match the card to a single item or leave the choice to the recipient. They sit alongside other prepaid gift cards for everyday retail spending.

The card is redeemable for merchandise and in-store services only. It cannot be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires it, and it cannot be applied as payment or credit to a credit card account.

Regions and where Macy's gift cards work

Macy's gift cards are tied to the United States. They are redeemable at Macy's and Macy's Backstage stores and on macys.com within the US only, so the card should be bought for the country in which the recipient actually shops.

A card bought for one country's store will not transfer to another retailer or another market, so check the recipient's location before choosing.
