Can I use a Royal Design gift card in another country?

No. The code applies to the Royal Design store for the country it was issued for and to that currency. A card bought for one market cannot be applied to an order on another national site.

What happens to money left on the card?

Any remaining balance stays on the code and can be used towards a later order on the same store, subject to the terms shown at redemption.

What if my order costs more than the gift card?

Apply the code at checkout and pay the difference with another payment method accepted by the Royal Design store.

How do I receive the code?

The gift card code is delivered to your order once payment completes, so you can redeem it yourself or pass it on as a present.

Can the card be spent on furniture as well as smaller items?

Yes. The balance works as credit across the Royal Design range, including kitchenware, textiles, lighting and furniture.

About Royal Design gift cards

Royal Design is a Nordic retailer of interior design, selling well known Scandinavian and European homeware brands: dinner services, cookware and kitchen tools, vases and candleholders, lamps, cushions, rugs and furniture for every room. A gift card suits anyone furnishing a home, putting together a wedding or housewarming present, or topping up a dinner set piece by piece.

The gift card works like store credit at checkout, so the recipient chooses the colour, size and brand themselves rather than receiving a fixed item. Values run in euros, Swedish kronor and Danish kroner, from small amounts towards a single accessory up to larger sums for furniture or a full set. Royal Design cards sit alongside other prepaid gift cards for home and lifestyle retailers.

How to redeem a Royal Design gift card

Royal Design gift cards are redeemed online at the Royal Design store for the matching country, for example royaldesign.se or royaldesign.fi. The code is entered during checkout.

Open the Royal Design site for the country your card was bought for.
Sign in to your account or continue as a guest.
Add the items you want to the basket and go to checkout.
Find the gift card or voucher field in the payment step.
Enter the code exactly as supplied and apply it.
Pay any remaining amount with another method if the order total is higher than the balance.

Regions and which card to buy

Royal Design runs a separate storefront and currency for each Nordic market, and a gift card is tied to the country store it was issued for. A card in euros belongs to the Finnish site, a krona card to the Swedish site and a krone card to the Danish site.

Buy the card for the country the recipient actually orders from, since a code issued for one national store will not apply to an order placed on another. If you are unsure, ask which Royal Design site they use and which currency their orders are billed in.
