Shukran is the rewards and gift card programme behind the Landmark Group's retail brands across the Middle East and Egypt. The gift card works like store credit: present it when paying and the amount comes off the bill at a participating brand's shop.

It suits shoppers who buy across several of the group's chains, since one card can be used for clothing in Splash or Max, baby and children's products in Babyshop, furniture and home accessories in Home Centre, or a general basket in Centrepoint. Values run from modest amounts for a single purchase up to larger sums, in Egyptian pounds, dirhams, Bahraini dinars and Saudi riyals.

Other prepaid gift cards follow a similar pattern of country-specific codes.

How to redeem a Shukran gift card

The Shukran gift card is used at the till in participating stores rather than entered into an account. It can be spent in parts, so the same card can be used on several shopping trips until the balance runs out.

1. Keep the gift card code and its details to hand after purchase.
2. Visit a participating Landmark Group store in the country the card was issued for.
3. Present the code at the checkout before payment is completed.
4. Pay the difference by another method if the purchase costs more than the card's value.
5. Use no more than five gift cards in a single redemption.
6. Check the remaining balance and terms at shukran.com/giftcard.

Regions and where the card works

Shukran gift cards are country specific. A code is redeemable at participating stores in the market it was issued for, and the currency printed on the card matches that market, so a card bought for one country will not be accepted at tills in another.
