YouTube Premium subscriptions and content can be purchased using Google Play gift cards. Here’s how to redeem a code and use it for YouTube.
Before you start
Make sure you have the following ready:
- A Google account
- Your Google Play gift card code (formatted as XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-X or similar)
How to redeem
- Go to play.google.com/redeem and sign in with your Google account.
- Enter your gift card code and click “Redeem”.
- The credit will be added to your Google Play balance.
- You can then use this balance to subscribe to YouTube Premium at youtube.com/premium.
Tips
- Google Play gift cards are region-locked. The card must match your Google account’s country.
- Google Play balance can be used for YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, movies, apps, and games.
- If you already have YouTube Premium, the balance will be used for your next billing cycle.
- Each code can only be redeemed once.
