Eugen Systems games
Eugen Systems is a French developer and publisher known for large-scale real-time strategy, where entire divisions manoeuvre across wide fronts rather than a handful of units.
The catalogue covers WARNO, Steel Division 2 with its editions and expansions, and Wargame European Escalation, sold mostly as keys with some accounts.

About Eugen Systems
Based in France, Eugen Systems builds real-time strategy games with a strong military simulation streak: deck building before the battle, reconnaissance, supply lines and long sight lines across open maps. Its Wargame series brought Cold War era hardware to that formula, while Steel Division 2 and WARNO carried the approach into the Second World War and a hypothetical late Cold War conflict in Europe.
Titles released between 2019 and 2024 sit alongside earlier work, and the line-up leans firmly towards tactical strategy, with simulation, action and co-operative elements woven through the battles.
Games and series in the catalogue
Steel Division 2 forms the core of the range, available on Steam and GOG.com and joined by larger editions such as the Total Conflict Edition, the General Deluxe Edition and the Commander Deluxe Edition. A broad set of add-ons expands the campaigns and army rosters, including Death on the Vistula, Burning Baltics, Black Sunday, The Fate of Finland, Blood Feud in Transylvania, Tribute to the Liberation of Italy, Tribute to Normandy '44 and the Back To War Pack.
WARNO covers modern armoured warfare on Steam, and Wargame European Escalation represents the studio's earlier Cold War strategy on the same platform. Most titles are supplied as Steam keys, with a few available as accounts or as gift deliveries.
How buying works
Each game activates on the platform shown for it: Steam for WARNO and Wargame European Escalation, and either Steam or GOG.com for Steel Division 2 and its deluxe editions. A key is redeemed on your own account and the game stays in your library, and the Steam activation guide walks through the redemption steps. Where a game is offered as an account instead, you receive sign-in details for an account that already has the game on it, so nothing is redeemed.
Expansions and DLC packs attach to the matching base game, so Steel Division 2 needs to be on the same account before its add-ons can be used. Games are sold per region, and a key has to match the region of the account it is activated on, which is explained in the notes on region locking.
Common questions
- Which platform do these games activate on?
- WARNO and Wargame European Escalation activate on Steam. Steel Division 2 and its editions are listed for Steam and GOG.com, so check which platform a listing covers before buying.
- Will a key work in another country?
- Only if the region of the key matches the region of the account redeeming it. A key intended for one region may be refused on an account registered elsewhere.
- What is the difference between a key and an account?
- A key is a code you redeem yourself, adding the game to your existing library. An account comes with the game already on it, and you sign in with the details provided instead of redeeming anything.
- Do the Steel Division 2 expansions need the base game?
- Yes. DLC such as Death on the Vistula or Burning Baltics requires Steel Division 2 on the same account. The Total Conflict, General Deluxe and Commander Deluxe editions bundle content around the base game.
- When do I get my key or account details?
- The key or account details are delivered to your order once payment completes.
