Its name is tied to the Galactic Civilizations series of turn-based space 4X games and to Sins of a Solar Empire, the real-time strategy series developed by Ironclad Games. Stardock Entertainment also publishes fantasy strategy such as Sorcerer King and Elemental: Reforged, tower defence in Siege of Centauri and political simulation in The Political Machine 2024.
