Spotify Premium subscription codes
Spotify Premium codes unlock a set period of Premium listening on a Spotify account: music and podcasts without ads, offline downloads and playback on demand.
Most codes cover a three month Premium period, and many are trial passes intended for accounts that have not had Premium before.
About Spotify Premium codes
Spotify is a music and podcast streaming service with a free ad-supported tier and a paid Premium tier. A Spotify code applies Premium to an account rather than adding spendable money, so it suits anyone who wants a fixed stretch of ad-free listening without attaching a card to a recurring plan, and it works as a gift for a listener who already uses the free tier.
The codes here are built around three month Premium periods, listed as trial passes, gift cards and subscription cards for individual regions as well as a global option. Some are marked for new accounts only, which means Premium must not have been active on the account before. Spotify codes sit alongside other prepaid gift cards for streaming and shopping brands.
How to redeem a Spotify code
The redemption page for a Spotify code is reached from the Spotify website while signed in to the account that should receive Premium. If you would like the longer version with screenshots, see the help-centre guide on redeeming a Spotify code.
- Open Spotify in a web browser.
- Sign in to the Spotify account that should receive Premium, or create one if the code is for a new account.
- Go to the Spotify redeem page for gift cards and codes.
- Enter your code exactly as supplied.
- Confirm the redemption and check that the Premium period shows on the account.
Regions and where Spotify codes work
Spotify codes are tied to the country set on the Spotify account. A code made for one country is accepted by accounts registered in that country, so choose the region that matches where the listener's account is based rather than where the code is bought. Regional codes cover single countries as well as wider European and Latin American groupings.
Global codes are not restricted to one country and can be redeemed on a Spotify account wherever it is registered. If you are buying as a gift, confirm the recipient's account country first, since the country on a Spotify account cannot simply be swapped to suit a code.
Regions currently listed for Spotify: Global, Brazil, Europe, Canada, Germany, Poland, Italy, Chile, Portugal, France, Spain, United Kingdom and 3 more. Use the region filter beside the results to see the cards for one country.
Common questions
- Can I use a Spotify code from another country?
- Usually not. Regional codes are accepted by Spotify accounts registered in that country, so match the code to the account country. Codes listed as global are the exception and are not tied to one country.
- What does "only for new accounts" mean?
- Trial pass codes are intended for accounts that have never had Spotify Premium. If Premium has already been active on the account, a trial pass may be declined.
- How do I receive the code?
- The code is delivered to your order once payment completes, and you then redeem it on the Spotify website.
- What happens when the Premium period ends?
- The account returns to the free ad-supported tier unless a paid plan is started. You can redeem another eligible code to extend Premium further.
- Can I redeem a code on an account that already pays for Premium?
- A code applies Premium to the account, so an existing paid plan may need to be cancelled first. Check the account's subscription settings before redeeming.
