The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) keys can be redeemed through your ESO/ZeniMax account or via Steam, depending on the key type.
For a ZeniMax/ESO key
- Go to account.elderscrollsonline.com and sign in (or create an account).
- Click “Redeem Code” in your account dashboard.
- Enter your product key.
- Click “Redeem”. The game or content will be added to your ESO account.
- Download the ESO launcher from the website to install and play.
For a Steam key
- Open the Steam desktop client and log in.
- Click “Games” → “Activate a Product on Steam”.
- Enter your key and click “Next”.
- The game will appear in your Steam library.
- You’ll still need to create or link a ZeniMax/ESO account when you first launch the game.
Tips
- Steam and non-Steam ESO keys are not interchangeable. Make sure you use the correct redemption method.
- ESO keys can be for the base game, expansions (Chapters), or Crown Packs (in-game currency).
- Each key can only be redeemed once.
- ESO is buy-to-play — no monthly subscription required (ESO Plus is optional).
