About Creepy Jar
Creepy Jar is a Polish developer and publisher working on first person survival and simulation games with a strong crafting and co-op streak. Green Hell built its reputation: a harsh jungle survival sim where hunger, injury and the mind of the player are all tracked systems.
Alongside it sits StarRupture, a science fiction survival and building game on a hostile planet, and Green Hell VR, a separate virtual reality take on the jungle. Together they sit comfortably in the indie games space, mixing action, adventure and simulation.
Games in the Creepy Jar catalogue
Green Hell is the centre of the range, listed for Steam, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and available as a key, as an account or as an Altergift. StarRupture comes on Steam in the same three forms, while Green Hell VR is a Steam key.
Expansion and add on content is part of the range too, including Green Hell SEA, which brings a separate jungle region to the survival game. Add on content needs the matching base game on the same account before it can be used. PC players can browse the wider range of Steam keys, and console players the Xbox codes covering Xbox One and Series X|S.
How buying works
Each game activates on the platform shown for it: Steam titles are redeemed in the Steam client, and Xbox versions on an Xbox console or the Xbox app. Help with both is in the guides on activating a Steam key and activating an Xbox key.
A key is redeemed on your own account and the game stays there. An account arrives with the game already on it and is signed into instead of redeemed. Games are sold per region, so a key needs to match the region of the account it is being activated on.
Common questions
- Which platform do these games activate on?
- Green Hell activates on Steam or on Xbox, depending on the version bought. StarRupture, Green Hell VR and Green Hell SEA are Steam titles.
- Will a key work in another country?
- Only if the region of the key matches the region of the account redeeming it. Check the region stated for the listing against the country set on your Steam or Xbox account.
- What is the difference between a key and an account?
- A key is a code you redeem so the game joins your own library. An account comes with the game already on it, and you sign in to it rather than redeeming anything.
- Does Green Hell SEA need the base game?
- Yes. Add on content for Green Hell requires the base game on the same account and platform before it can be used.
- When do I receive the code or account details?
- The key or account details are delivered to your order once payment completes.
