Will a code work on an account in another country?

Only if the code covers that country. Codes are matched to the account's country setting, so a single-country key will be rejected on an account registered elsewhere.

Can I use one on an account that already has Premium?

No. These subscription keys are for new accounts only, meaning accounts that have not held a YouTube Premium membership before.

How do I receive the code?

The code is delivered to your order once payment completes, and you then enter it on the Google account you want the membership on.

What happens when the membership period ends?

Premium features stop applying and the account returns to the standard free YouTube experience. There is no leftover balance, since the code buys a fixed run of membership rather than store credit.

Does Premium include YouTube Music?

Yes. A YouTube Premium membership covers YouTube Music alongside ad-free, background and offline viewing on YouTube.

YouTube Premium subscription codes

YouTube Premium subscription codes add a set run of Premium membership to a Google account. Premium removes ads across YouTube, allows background and offline playback on mobile, and includes YouTube Music.

The codes listed run for a couple of months up to three months of membership, and are intended for accounts that have not held a Premium membership before.

About YouTube Premium codes

YouTube is Google's video service, and Premium is its paid membership tier. A code applies the membership to the Google account you sign in with, so videos play without interruptions, keep playing when the screen is off or the app is in the background, and can be downloaded for offline viewing. YouTube Music access comes with the same membership.

These subscription keys suit anyone who watches YouTube regularly and would rather pay once for a fixed stretch of Premium than set up a recurring arrangement, and they work as a gift for a viewer who has never subscribed. Durations listed cover short trial-length terms of two to three months. Other brands are grouped together in the store's prepaid and gift cards section.

How to redeem a YouTube Premium code

The help centre has a full redemption walkthrough with screenshots if you would like to follow along.

Sign in to the Google account you want the membership on.
Go to youtube.com/redeem.
Enter your code.
Confirm the membership details to apply it to the account.

Regions and account country

Codes are tied to the country set on the Google account. A code issued for one country will not apply to an account registered in another, so match the code to the country the recipient's account uses rather than where they happen to be watching.

Some keys cover a wide spread of countries at once, and the Global listings are not limited to a single market. Where a code names a country or a region, use it on an account in that market.

Regions currently listed for YouTube: Global, Europe, RoW. Use the region filter beside the results to see the cards for one country.
